About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Georgian Bay Family Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that showcase our restaurant's culinary expertise and appeal to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences.

Chef Management

Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of our restaurant.

Food Quality and Safety

Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety, and that our kitchen meets all relevant health and safety regulations.

Inventory Management

Manage our kitchen inventory to minimize waste and ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet our menu requirements.

Cost Control

Monitor and control kitchen costs to ensure that we are operating within our budget and that our menu prices are competitive.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a chef in a high-volume restaurant environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety.

Leadership and Communication

Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff.

Attention to Detail

High level of attention to detail to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety.
