At Wesco International, Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Safety Solutions Sales Professional to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional to grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Safety Solutions Sales Professional, you will be responsible for interacting with existing customers to increase sales of our products and services by obtaining and up-selling orders.

You will focus on proactive selling techniques to add business or expand current book of accounts. This role requires strong communication skills, both verbally and in written form, as well as the ability to work independently with general supervision.

About the Job

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Obtaining orders through email and telephone calls or in person, verifying and entering items, transferring orders to fulfillment, explaining stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
  • Increasing orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer's buying history.
  • Owning, qualifying, and developing opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
  • Identifying ways for continuous improvement of processes.
  • Preparing, generating, and following up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders, or determine reason for loss of order.
  • Reviewing open customer order reports and taking action on open items, including those items that may be at risk in meeting customer's promised delivery date.
  • Maintaining distribution system backorder report, associated customer expediting report and notices, and customer notification.
  • Reporting industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a high school degree or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration, with 2-4 years of experience. They should be familiar with Microsoft Office and have basic computer skills.

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
