About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance and Compliance Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building, implementing, and operating our enterprise privacy program, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, and tools based on laws, industry standards, and business objectives.
* Conduct risk assessments on new initiatives that involve personal information and identify mitigating controls.
* Provide timely and accurate advice on privacy, CASL, US-related legislation, and data ethics risks.
* Support the development and implementation of privacy awareness and compliance programs.
* Track and report privacy risks, remediation activities, and key program activities.

Requirements:
* Post-secondary college or university graduate with a certificate in CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional).
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in privacy, compliance, or related functions.
* Strong knowledge of risk management governance and practices, particularly in private sector privacy laws.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Fluency in French and/or Chinese is highly desirable.
