About the Role

The Sales District Manager is a key position at State Industrial Products, responsible for driving sales growth and developing a sales territory. This role requires a strong understanding of sales processes and product knowledge, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet/Exceed Sales Growth Targets: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales revenue, average order value, and new agreement growth.
  • Staff the Sales Organization: Recruit, train, and develop sales associates to ensure the sales team is equipped to meet sales targets.
  • Field Supervision and Development: Provide guidance and support to new and veteran sales associates, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Establish Clear District Goals and Sales Targets: Develop and implement business and territory plans to drive sales growth and achieve company objectives.
  • Reinforce and Support Corporate Policies: Ensure that sales practices and procedures align with company policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain/Build Sales Relationships: Foster strong relationships with existing and new customers to drive sales growth and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Aid in the Development of Future Sales Managers: Provide training and development opportunities to help sales associates advance in their careers.
  • Act as a Liaison between Field Sales and Company Headquarters: Communicate sales strategies and initiatives to company leadership and ensure that sales goals and objectives are aligned with company objectives.
  • Promote Company Marketing and Promotional Programs: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote company products and services.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field: A degree in business, marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Train and Coach Direct Sales Representatives: Provide guidance and support to sales associates during the selling process and in planning.
  • Interviewing Skills for Sales Positions and with Customers: Conduct effective interviews to assess sales candidates and build strong relationships with customers.
  • Ability to Participate in Group Projects or Activities: Collaborate with colleagues to develop new ideas and strategies that drive sales growth and improve business results.
