Job Title: Procurement Associate

Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Associate to join our team at Randstad Canada. As a key member of our Supply Chain Management Department, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing purchases of goods and services, reviewing and analyzing requisitions, and preparing and issuing RFQs.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and execute purchases of goods and services
- Review and analyze requisitions
- Prepare and issue RFQs as required for operational, project, and strategic initiatives
- Review and analyze above in accordance with Enbridge policies and procedures
- Ensure goods and services are purchased at a reasonable price while achieving any possible cost savings within the required timeframe
- Act as a liaison between user departments and suppliers
- Assist other buyers and expeditors

Accountabilities:

- Executes the complete procurement process from preparing all aspects of competitive bids through to commercial evaluation, recommendations, and purchase order issuance
- Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and that user requirements are met
- Develop, negotiate, and assist in the execution of supplier agreements
- Obtain optimized pricing and cost-efficient methods to assist in company-wide cost-saving measures
- Research sources of supply, review sole source validity, and determine methods of procurement action
- Negotiate with suppliers the terms and conditions, pricing, delivery, payment terms, cancellation charges, liquidated damages clauses, warranty, scope of work, and change orders as required
- Evaluate supplier performance and address inefficiencies as required via feedback loop in Maximo
- Maintain records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines/Sox requirements
- Issue and approve purchase orders per Approved Supplier List (ASL)
- Investigate and facilitate issue resolution relative to procurement activities as requested
- Act as a liaison between project managers and/or consultants and suppliers (prior to issuance of order)
- Research and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Understand and participate in Supply Chain Management Department team initiatives
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market conditions and industry trends relating to SCM as it pertains to their category
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Related university degree from an accredited college in purchasing, supply chain management, business administration, finance, logistics, or equivalent
- Post-secondary education (Purchasing/Supply Chain Management, B-Comm., Finance, Business Admin,)
- Two or more years of procurement experience (no more than 4 years' experience for a Buyer I role)

Preferred:

- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCPM)/Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) enrollment beneficial
- Oil & Gas environment experience
