Procure to Pay Training Specialist

**What will you do?**
- Conduct skills assessment and analyze the training needs to identify appropriate, relevant and required course content
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders for program development and content delivery
- Provide input for the development of priorities in the Training Plan
- Plan and manage resource requirements and timelines for training design, development and delivery
- Identify training plans and course contents for special projects
- Design and develop customized training material working collaboratively with team members and ensuring accuracy, quality and completeness
- Use available tools and methodologies to create training materials in various formats like e-learning, classroom presentations, system demonstrations, quick reference guides, just-in-time videos, webinars, training manuals, etc.
- Design comprehensive training curriculum covering various aspects of Procure to Pay systems and processes relevant to the diverse user groups
- Evaluate and provide updates to existing training documentation
- Provide recommendations for type of training delivery based on training objectives established by Program Sponsor
- Provide recommendations for the continuity of course content at higher levels
- Facilitate instructor-led training sessions, workshops, and seminars, either in-person or virtually in an environment conducive to adult learning
- Compile reports identifying training profiles, associated costs and staff identification
- Maintain a high level of expertise in training required for the Procure to Pay systems and processes
- Regularly update training materials and modules to reflect changes in system software, best practices, and feedback from users
- Continuously enhance training methods and materials based on user feedback and industry trends
- Upgrading skills and knowledge in the adult education discipline
- Create and maintain learning and development documents library
- Create, maintain, and update employee evaluation forms and employee training records to evaluate and report on the effectiveness of training programs
- Support the management of learners and course offerings in the learning management system
- Additional related duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- University degree from a recognized program in education, such as a Bachelor of Education, Adult Learning & Development or related field
- 2 years experience working in the field of adult education and/or developing course curriculum
**Skills required for success**:
- Experience and/or knowledge in one or more business process/functions such as: Human Capital Management, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Project Management and/or Project Systems
- Extensive knowledge of instructional design strategies
- Experience using educational authoring tools/technology to create learning content/materials (i.e. Adobe Captivate)
- Experience using Google Suite
- Ability to convey technical training to both a technical and non-technical audience
- Demonstrate ability to facilitate online and in-person training sessions with a variety of clients
- Ability to analyze complex technical information
- Proven planning and organization skills to manage program delivery
- Demonstrated skills in facilitation of groups with competing interests and priorities
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact well with a diverse group of executives, colleagues, staff and citizens

**Work Environment**:
- Note: This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite as per the Letter of Understanding between the City of Edmonton and Civic Service Union 52.

**Hours of Work**: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday

**Salary Range**:$37.001 - $46.508 (Hourly); $77,258.09 - $97,108.70 (Annually)
