Financial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager - Accounts Receivable to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the daily and monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable from Intact Insurance and belairdirect.
- Participate in the annual budget exercise for accounts receivable, including monthly analysis of variances and validation of charges.
- Supervise the payment of commissions to brokers, including the management of bank accounts and the issuance of checks.
- Manage the entries of accounts receivable in the General Ledger, including those related to inter-company transfers, the reclassification of expenses, and cash receipt transactions.
- Take part in various projects related to complex subjects, such as IFRS17, EDW, and Contact Billing.
- Help apply controls, facilitate the audit process, and liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Supervise other related tasks, including the management of client payments in Agency bill, refunds to clients, and taxes outside Quebec.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and accounting standards (IFRS).
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading and/or managing a team.
- Strong user knowledge in Excel is required.
- Knowledge of P&C insurance industry is an asset.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills, insight, and discipline.
- Leadership skills, team player, independent, and efficient.
- Bilingualism is required, considering the necessity to interact regularly with English-speaking and French-speaking colleagues across the country.
