About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portfolio Manager, PCO's to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a strong control framework for our team and for IT and Labs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an action plan for the team in alignment with the strategic orientations of the company and the IT/Labs division, in a context of performance management, optimization and cross-functional synergies.
  • Implement management and communication practices that promote sound governance, skills development, mobilization, talent retention and diversity, consistent with the company's values.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Coach and support Project Control Officers and Portfolio Analysts; implement and follow up on individual and customized development plans.
  • Optimize resource assignment and allocation to ensure synergy and improve workload distribution.
  • Drive the development and delivery of an appropriate PCO framework.
  • Lead the PMO governance rules enforcement as part of IT project delivery.
  • Ensure the sound application of common processes for the PCOs.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement and optimization in all areas of responsibility.
  • Work collaboratively with the Portfolio managers and IT Finance teams to achieve transformation, assess the potential for continuous improvement and eliminate duplication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • Drive the creation of strategies to facilitate project budget control processes covering IT and Labs.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
  • Hold a PMP certification, which is a strong asset.
  • Have 5-10 years of experience in managing and supporting professionals.
  • Have knowledge of PMO governance rules.
  • Be able to model financials and discuss them with non-financial colleagues.
  • Be able to adapt to an evolving environment.
  • Have the ability to influence.
  • Have strategic thinking and the ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
