The Financial Transactions team is a multidisciplinary group that participates in various mandates, including accounts payable and controls, corporate credit card management, treasury expense monitoring, international business travel, and corporate travel sustainability.
As a member of this team, you'll be responsible for various tasks, such as:
- Performing monthly reports and analyses, including changes in spending, travel patterns, and greenhouse gases.
- Reconciling different IT systems for G/L accounts overseen by the team.
- Analyzing and explaining results by types of expenses, by department.
- Making accounting entries in ERP.
- Accounting for transactions in General Ledgers and Cost Centers.
- Collecting data for global sustainability reporting.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce travel costs through various analyses.
You'll also be responsible for ensuring users comply with internal policies by applying controls, collaborating with internal and external audit teams, and participating in the continuous improvement of operational, financial, and internal control processes.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Relevant CPA designation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience related to the position.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with knowledge of Oracle and Power BI/PowerQuery an asset.
- Experience working with an expense management tool.
- Experience in combined financial analysis of accounting concepts and principles.
- Sense of initiative, desire to learn, and strong interest in teamwork.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload and manage multiple files at once.
- Demonstrate entrepreneurship, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Customer and results-oriented, with a high sense of ethics.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is essential.
