Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Scorteus Leather Store. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our sales goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Order merchandise and ensure that it is properly received and stored.
- Authorize return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Sell merchandise and ensure that all sales are accurately recorded and reported.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters to ensure that our store is operating effectively.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that our store is always well-stocked and that our customers have access to the products they need.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that our store is operating efficiently and effectively.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and to stand for long periods of time.
- 35 to 40 hours per week.
- English is the primary language of communication.
