Job SummaryWe offer a competitive salary range of $41.42 - $55.91 per hour, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality neonatal care to patients and their families in the Special Care Nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatal nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for assigned patients in the Special Care Nursery.
- Use clinical judgment to make decisions about patient care and advocate for patients' needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients and provide education to patients and families.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree in nursing from a recognized institution.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- At least two years of recent experience in a Level 2-3 neonatal unit, supplemented by courses in breastfeeding or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
