Palliative Care Nurse Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team at Vancouver Coastal Health in British Columbia.

This role is ideal for a registered nurse with a passion for providing compassionate care to patients and their families. As a Palliative Care Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating client care. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans, communicate effectively with clients and healthcare providers, and participate in discharge planning and education of clients and their families on illness/injury and overall health promotion and wellness.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

* Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
* Demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to designated client group
* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement care plans and communicate effectively with clients and healthcare providers
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team and provide leadership through initiative and independence
* Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of the position

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and extended health coverage, as well as pension plan and paid time off.
