Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Richmond Hospital in Richmond, BC.

The estimated salary for this position is between $41.42 and $55.91 per hour, depending on experience.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in surgical care to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical guidance and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.

Your primary focus will be on promoting evidence-based practice, improving patient outcomes, and advancing the quality of care in our surgical department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Promote evidence-based practice and improve patient outcomes through education and coaching
  • Conduct clinical audits and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in surgical care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Extensive experience in surgical care, preferably in a leadership or educator role
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and teaching methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
