Job Information

The Senior Project Officer will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of construction and special projects. This position requires providing expert advice and training in construction contract law and project management to District Technical Staff, in accordance with Government of Northwest Territories policy, Housing Northwest Territories programs, and community partnership agreements.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to acquire knowledge of the GNWT Capital Planning process and possess knowledge of building construction, project management, contract administration, and construction contract law in a northern multi-cultural environment.

Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by acquiring a diploma in an Architectural or Engineering Technology program, plus four years of experience in construction project management and contract administration, including one year of mentoring experience.
