Role Overview
">Parsons is seeking an accomplished Construction Project Manager to oversee the execution of heavy civil and remediation projects, specifically the Giant Mine Remediation Project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing project requirements, planning, and progress from design phase through closeout.

">The Giant Mine Remediation Project is a world-class initiative utilizing innovative methods to deliver a safe environment. With a project duration exceeding 10 years, this opportunity requires a seasoned professional with experience in managing complex construction efforts, including water treatment plants and related infrastructure.
">Your Responsibilities
">You will be accountable for:
">- ">
- Planning, managing, and progressing work packages from completion of design phase through to closeout;">
- Participating in bid evaluations and contract awarding;">
- Contractor onboarding, document submittals, and approvals to facilitate mobilization and construction execution;">
- Execution of construction activities and contractor performance, ensuring compliance to scope, schedule, budget, daily weekly reporting, and quality standards;">
- Maintaining, tracking, and reporting out on project deliverables, including schedule, cost, quality of work, safety, and environmental compliance;">
- Effective communication, leadership, and alignment with construction superintendents, inspectors, QA/QC coordinators, finance, procurement, document control, planning, scheduling, and estimators, as well as contractors;">
- Assisting the Construction Manager in resolving issues arising from variances in cost, schedule, or quality by working with subcontractors to develop and implement corrective actions;">
- Collaborating with the Mine Manager, H&S Manager, and Environmental Manager to ensure HS&E awareness and compliance among all subcontractors;">
- Preparing monthly reports on work package progress, assessing schedule and budget compliance for delivery to the Construction Manager and Senior Project Manager.">
Requirements and Qualifications
">To succeed in this role, you should possess:
">- ">
- A degree or technology diploma in Engineering, Geology, or a directly related technical field;">
- At least 3+ years of experience in project management, construction management, specifically in developing project requirements and plans, participating in contract bidding and award processes, managing projects in the execution phase, and managing project closeout;">
- 3+ years of work experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects;">
- Experience working in Northern Canada is an asset;">
- Knowledge of current technologies and their effective application on projects;">
- Ability to manage on-site activities of multiple subcontractors;">
- Experience addressing and resolving issues, such as poor performance by subcontractors.">
