We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Governance Professional to join our team in Yellowknife, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support for the successful execution of construction projects through conformance to ISO requirements, corporate policies, project management framework, and client standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with business center leadership, finance, project managers, and other project controllers to ensure successful project execution, overall financial health of business operations, and process optimization.
  2. Support project management best practices, set up revenue/cost forecasting, change management, budgets, and business plans.
  3. Monitor project financial progress, recommend areas of improvement, and help identify areas of risk.
  4. Assist with internal processes (project setups, forecasting, monitoring gross margins, invoicing/accounts receivable, sub-consultants, contract reviews, etc.).
  5. Work closely with the project team to maintain a current and accurate understanding of project status, issues, and changes.
  6. Gather and analyze data to understand trends and assist leadership with business decisions.
  7. Review and analyze project gross margins and work with the team and management to find cost savings and efficiencies.
  8. Assist team members in adhering to client standards and corporate policies and procedures, i.e., status reporting, quality reviews, audits, etc.
  9. Support the PM by coordinating project deliverables and schedules and subconsultant contract management.
  10. Support and assist with training of project controllers and project managers.
  11. Collaborate with client project control staff.
  12. Foster a healthy and safe work environment and provide safety compliance.
  13. Create and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally, including associated stakeholders.
  14. Support business development functions, which may include proposal preparation.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will possess prior work experience in a financial role/project controller/project manager/project assistant role, financial acumen, analytical skills, listening, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, effective time management, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, finance, analytics, or a related field. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Office 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Access is also essential.
