We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front Desk Ambassador to join our team at Silver Hotel Group. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring seamless check-in and check-out experiences, and contributing to the overall success of our hotel operations.

Job Summary

The Front Desk Ambassador will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor at all times with guests and team members;
  • Complying with all company standards and brand standards;
  • Interacting with all guests during check-in and check-out procedures;
  • Creating and canceling reservations as required, handling check-in and check-outs;
  • Greeting all incoming and outgoing calls in a professional and timely manner;
  • Reviewing logbooks and emails daily and completing all tasks on the checklist;
  • Maintaining proper operation of front desk telephones, being familiar with daily sell rates;
  • Balancing and preparing individual paperwork for closing of shift with hotel standards;
  • Working closely and maintaining proper communication with all hotel departments;
  • Handling guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible;
  • Handling guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner;
  • Resolving customer complaints; assisting customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, check cashing, gift shop, safety boxes, etc.
  • Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Customer Service experience, preferably in a hotel front desk position;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Computer literacy in Word and Excel. Maestro's or Opera experience is an asset;
  • Results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well in a busy and demanding environment;
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to problem-solve, initiate action, and complete projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision;
  • Must be friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with a professional appearance;
  • Available to work days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required;
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as education reimbursement, annual wellness credit, team member referral program, leadership development, team building events, culture of recognition program, and hotel stay discounts.
