About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at The TJX Companies, Inc. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and leading a team of sales associates to achieve exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Sales and Operations: Oversee daily store operations, including sales floor management, customer service, and visual merchandising to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals, provide coaching and feedback, and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and maintaining a well-organized store environment to ensure efficient sales floor operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to customer complaints, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is maintained in a clean, safe, and secure manner, including maintaining equipment, fixtures, and displays.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education preferred; minimum high school education required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years supervisory experience in retail, including operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including interviewing, negotiating, listening, conflict management, information gathering, and coaching.
