About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Head Cashier to join our team at Courtenay Return-It Depot. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and coordinate the tasks of our sales team to ensure excellent customer service and efficient sales processes.
  • Authorize Return of Merchandise: Process returns and exchanges in a fair and timely manner, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to meet the needs of our customers and the store, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
  • Prepare Reports: Generate accurate and timely reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve Issues: Proactively address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise, providing solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Effectively manage and maintain our inventory levels, ensuring that stock is accurately recorded and easily accessible.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the activities of our sales team, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure excellent customer service and efficient sales processes.
  • Manage Cash: Accurately handle and manage cash transactions, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly review the performance of our sales team, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve performance and achieve business goals.
Work Environment

As a Head Cashier at Courtenay Return-It Depot, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers and colleagues in a dynamic and supportive team.

Requirements

  • Hours: You will work approximately 30-40 hours per week, with a regular schedule and opportunities for overtime.
