Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Shoppers Drug Mart / Pharmaprix. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Front Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations:
- Ensure store standards are maintained to optimize customer experience and drive sales growth
- Work with the management team to ensure store standards are in effect 100% of the time, including the backroom
- Manage labour scheduling and leverage Work Force Management (WFM) to maximize labour productivity
- Ensure staffing levels are adequate to effectively operate the business
- Human Resources:
- Comply with human resources standards
- Support hiring and recruitment efforts for all departments, excluding pharmacy
- Maintain wage administration within company guidelines
- Drive a positive and inclusive store culture, leading by example and promoting our core values
- Qualifications:
- Planning, judgement, and decision-making skills
- Inventory management planning and preparation
- Ability to control expenses and manage budgets
- Effective leadership and mentorship skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Experience:
- Previous retail management experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and lead by example
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
