Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative role at Fortinet is a key position within our sales organization. You will collaborate with multiple Field & Inside Sales Account Managers to drive revenue in an assigned territory. Your primary objective will be to build and execute a plan to grow the territory's business, both in terms of new customer acquisition and existing customer relationships. You will work closely with Fortinet's reseller partners, marketing, and channel teams to drive deals and increase revenue. Fortinet provides detailed and ongoing training programs to help drive your personal success in the Sales Development Representative role, as well as prepare you for multiple career path opportunities across Fortinet's sales organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand sales cycles in conjunction with business processes internally and externally.
  • Address customer satisfaction issues and requests in a timely manner.
  • Meet and exceed sales activity metrics designed to make you productive and successful.
  • Assist with customer presentations and demos via online tools.
  • Align with sales, channel, and partner teams to support overall company revenue targets.
  • Perform other duties and projects assigned to support business growth.
  • Execute the role with professionalism and alignment to Fortinet's core values.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • Coachable and flexible.
  • Self-driven with ability to manage a diverse, high-volume workload.
  • Ability to quickly build productive relationships in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer savvy with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Well-organized with effective time and activity management skills.
  • Ability to apply entrepreneurial strengths in a driven, forward-thinking manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience with multi-tier distribution.
  • Experience in networking, security, and/or public/private cloud.
