Job Summary

The Technical Sales Manager (Coating and Overlay Solutions) will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Coating and Overlay operations. This position requires leadership and technical expertise to manage existing client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing clients to support long-term partnerships.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by meeting their needs and resolving any issues effectively.
Revenue Growth
  • Identify and create new business opportunities within existing client accounts to drive revenue.
  • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies aimed at capturing market share from competitors.
Operational Support
  • Collaborate closely with Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely proposals are developed for customers.
  • Oversee the execution of jobs from initial sales through to delivery, ensuring all customer deliverables are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary studies in engineering (chemical, manufacturing, material, or process), science, or business are preferred, or 8-10 years of relevant business development experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in refinery operations or a similar industry is preferred. Transferable experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience in sales and management is highly preferred.
Benefits

This role offers an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. The position also includes benefits such as health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

This is an onsite position located in Nisku, Alberta, requiring 30-40% travel within Alberta and Western Canada, with some international travel. Strong leadership, communication, sales, and customer service abilities are essential for this role.
