About the Role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our Engineering Design Organization in the GTA offices. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic employee-owned company, working on complex civil and facility projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and growth of GHD's Civil practice, working closely with Business Lead and Managers, Project Directors, and the engineering group.
  • Coordinate all aspects of civil design, including being responsible for the design, developing or verifying the technical scope of a project, and completing civil designs following the budget and schedule.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings, address critical issues, and ensure the client's requirements, including specifications and standards, are integrated into the project.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff, and represent GHD at Client meetings when required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized college or university.
  • Professional Engineering (P. Eng) license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years' of extensive technical design experience, with demonstrable experience in civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects with a focus on linear infrastructure.
  • Experience working in a Design Build environment, with a detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards.
  • Experience working in an integrated 3D environment, with team building and mentoring skills.
