As a supervisor, you will lead a talented team of technologists and provide essential technical guidance on civil engineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Oversee a team of civil technologists, offering mentorship and support to ensure the successful achievement of project goals.
  • Encourage a positive team environment that emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and high performance.
  • Manage work assignments, track progress, and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity and quality.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Utilize advanced civil engineering knowledge to assess, design, and supervise the execution of various infrastructure projects.
  • Examine and interpret engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Offer technical assistance and innovative solutions to project teams facing complex engineering challenges.

Project Coordination:

  • Support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting efforts, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address project challenges.
  • Prepare technical documentation, proposals, and presentations to effectively communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to clients and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Bring a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design and construction, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other pertinent engineering software. Familiarity with Microstation, InRoads, and Bentley applications is a plus.
  • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities, with a talent for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and fostering client relationships.
  • Showcase a proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects concurrently, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
