About the Role:

As a Contract Administrator at Salter Pilon Architecture Inc., you will serve as the primary point of contact between our construction site and office. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring that all work completed in the field adheres to contract documents and codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run construction meetings and take minutes for site meetings
  • Work closely with lead architects and designers to assist with the finalization of tender documents, contract documents, and issued for construction documents
  • Provide timely consultations to solve problems with contractors and consulting teams as they arise
  • Issue information, site instructions, change orders, monthly progress payment certificates, and process contract close-outs
  • Coordinate all on-site activities and participate in meetings with all trades, staff, and clients
  • Review project budgets, construction costs, and proposed change costs
  • Review, coordinate, and produce contract administration documents, including shop drawings, site instructions, proposed changes, and change orders

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of Contract Administration or Construction Site Management experience with a focus on on-site work
  • Architectural or Engineering Degree, OAAAS, or College Diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Management/Administration, or another related discipline
  • Solid understanding of building systems, construction procedures, OBC with a focus on Part 3 buildings, city by-laws, and/or regulations as required
  • Experience with CCDC-2 (Stipulate Sum), CCDC-5 (Construction Management), and CCDC-14 (Design Build) contracts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient skills in latest versions of Revit and Auto CAD and all Microsoft programs
  • Proven ability to work independently and cooperatively with staff, clients, and contractors
  • Possess a valid class G driver's license with access to a personal vehicle
  • Proven ability to manage the process and review Contract Documents for consistency and completeness, prior to project milestones
