**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our team as a Semester 1 External Contract teacher. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing effective instruction, training, and evaluation of student progress in assigned subjects.

**Responsibilities:**

• Provide effective instruction, training, and evaluation of student progress in assigned subjects.

• Manage classroom or classes and report to the principal on student progress as requested.

• Carry out supervisory duties and instructional programs assigned by the principal.

• Cooperate with other teachers and the principal in matters related to student instruction.

• Ensure the classroom or teaching area is ready for students at least 15 minutes before the start of classes.

• Assist the principal in maintaining close cooperation with the community.

• Prepare teaching plans and outlines as required by the principal and submit them on request.

• Ensure all reasonable safety procedures are carried out in courses and activities.

• Cooperate with the principal and other teachers to establish and maintain consistent disciplinary practices.

• Ensure report cards are fully and properly completed and processed in accordance with provincial guidelines.

• Cooperate and assist in the administration of tests under the Education Quality and Accountability Office Act.

• Participate in regular meetings with parents or guardians.

• Perform duties as assigned by the principal in relation to co-operative placements of students.

• Perform duties normally associated with the graduation of students.
