About the Role

  • Manage projects across southern Ontario, with a proven track record of profitable project delivery and strong client relationships.
  • Assume overall responsibility for successful delivery of medium to large-scale municipal and site development projects, through the construction and maintenance phases.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and quality control for projects during construction.
  • Recognize the value of working in a strong team environment with a proven track record for quality product and on-time delivery.
  • Build strong working relationships with other in-house EXP disciplines, including environment, geotechnical, hydrogeological, infrastructure, and land development.
  • Supervise project teams, including design engineers, contract administrators, and site inspectors, as part of EXP's full-service delivery programs.
  • Provide Contract Administration support by performing in the role of Contract Administrator when needed.
  • Negotiate change orders and pricing issues and construction claims.
  • Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and take minutes of meetings.
  • Review quantities for payments, coordinate with Field Staff, and process Contractor's payment.
  • Review and issue RFIs, RFQs, SIs, and maintain tracking logs.
  • Coordinate review of shop drawings.
  • Review environmental and traffic control plans installed and advise of any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with design standards, Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications/Standard Drawings (OPSS/OPSD's), and methods and materials associated with the works.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or diploma in civil engineering.
  • License in Ontario with PEO or equivalent with relevant experience.
  • PMP certification considered an asset.
  • More than 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, client management, and project delivery, client satisfaction, and management of project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Expert in project management tools and methods such as MS Project, Excel, Word, PDF, and SharePoint.
