As a Strategic HR Manager at I-WAY TRANSPORT INC., you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's human resources strategy to drive long-term growth and success.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HR management, with experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating HR strategies.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 35 hours per week, with a salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, employees, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives;
- Lead the HR team to ensure effective recruitment, selection, and induction processes;
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters;
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits, compensation, and performance management systems;
- Conduct research and analysis to inform HR decisions and improve HR practices;
- Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants to resolve workplace issues;
- Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers;
- Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures;
- Oversee payroll administration;
- Assign, coordinate, and review projects and programs;
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;
- 1-2 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a similar industry;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
- English language proficiency (written and spoken).
