Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving business growth by identifying new customer partnerships, fostering sustainable relationships, enhancing current customer connections, and executing our growth strategy.

This position requires an individual with exceptional emotional intelligence, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the metal industry, including liquid or powder paint coating.

New Business Development Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive sales growth
  • Prospect for new clients through targeted market research and networking
  • Cold calling as necessary to maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with potential clients and key decision-makers
  • Provide accurate requirements, including schematics, for our Estimating team to ensure precise quoting
  • Maintain accurate data entry and deal management within our CRM system
  • Track and record engagement activity, providing weekly sales reports for the leadership team
  • Collaborate with technical staff and internal colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Liaise with paint suppliers to obtain pricing and lead-time information for BDM and Estimators

Preferred Work Experience

A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience, preferably in metal fabrication, appliance manufacturing and assembly, automotive parts manufacturing, or similar industries.

A well-developed understanding of global markets, including emerging economies such as those in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and established markets like the United States, China, and South America.

Education

P.Eng. (Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering) or Bachelor's degree in Commerce.

Total Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience, including:

  • An attractive base salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
