About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Howard Johnson Inn. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Coordinate Cleaning Activities: Plan and coordinate the cleaning schedules, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities to identify any areas that require maintenance or repair.
  • Manage Supplies and Equipment: Order and manage cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure that the hotel's housekeeping department is well-stocked and equipped to perform its duties.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure that the hotel's facilities are maintained to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, initiative, judgement, reliability
