THE ROLE:
The Housekeeping Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the housekeeping operations, ensuring that all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, meet our high standards of cleanliness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver 100% guest satisfaction through genuine hospitality and by exceeding expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in all housekeeping areas, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and professional development of housekeeping staff, including performance evaluations and communication of standards.
- Conduct inspections of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas, providing constructive feedback to staff.
- Manage staff scheduling based on occupancy forecasts and assign daily tasks.
- Oversee the ordering and inventory of linens and cleaning supplies to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure timely communication of clean and available rooms to the Guest Services Department.
- Document and relay maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department to uphold service quality.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring satisfaction through follow-up.
- Adhere to company policies and effectively communicate them to team members.
- Conduct training on safety, security, and departmental procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping.
- Proficient in computer usage.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a proven track record of achieving results.
- Excellent time management, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to quality and guest service excellence.
