Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate food costs and inventory levels to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Analyze sales data to inform menu planning and pricing decisions
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to junior staff members
  • Supervise activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
  • Create new recipes and menu items to maintain customer interest
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, arrange for equipment purchases and repairs

Requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Compensation
