Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Michael Page International Canada Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, clients, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety Leadership: Provide guidance on key health and safety policies and procedures, implementing industry best practices and internal corporate safety systems.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations of workplace incidents and injuries, and prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs for employees on health and safety procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Site Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, injuries, and near-misses, and prepare regular reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Education and Certification: Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, and provincial Health and Safety certification with valid auditor certification.
- Experience: 10+ years of practical health and safety experience, with 5-7 years of experience with a general contractor.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent time management skills, proven leadership skills, solid organizational and planning skills, and comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices.
