Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Michael Page International Canada Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, clients, and subcontractors on our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Management
    • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
    • Investigate workplace incidents and injuries, and develop recommendations for prevention.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide health and safety training to employees, clients, and subcontractors.
    • Develop and maintain training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate health and safety policies and procedures to employees, clients, and subcontractors.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure health and safety is integrated into all aspects of our business.
  • Reporting and Record Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents, injuries, and training.
    • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 10+ years of practical health and safety experience, with 5-7 years in a similar role.
  • Skills
    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence others to follow health and safety practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
