About the Job

Springboard's mission is to help individuals with developmental disabilities reach their full potential. As a community support worker, you will be part of a team that provides support and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and counseling to individuals with developmental disabilities to help them develop daily living skills and independence.
  • Assist individuals with community involvement, health and wellness management, social planning and interaction, and financial management.
  • Manage challenging behaviors and conflict situations in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Collaborate with the Community Housing Worker to implement established goals and support individuals in their home.
  • Complete required documentation and provide administrative support for individuals.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in the Social Services field.
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid First Aid and Safe Management certifications.
  • Minimum two years of recent work-related experience in the Developmental Services sector.
