Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Professional to join our team at Home and Community Care Support Services. This role will be responsible for leading the procurement process for a wide variety of goods and services, ensuring compliance with OPS Procurement Directives and Ontario Health atHome relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to achieve optimal value for the organization
  • Manage the competitive procurement process from RFx through to contract award and implementation
  • Evaluate and recommend vendors for contracts, ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation, directives and Trade Agreements
  • Develop and manage budgets for procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop procurement strategies to meet those needs
  • Ensure that all procurement activities are in accordance with Ontario Health atHome Financial Signing Authority (FSA) policy
Requirements
  • University degree or college diploma in a related field, such as Business or Supply Chain Management
  • 3-5 years' experience in procurement and/or contracts department working with complex and high dollar contracts
  • Knowledge of contract law and OPS Procurement Directives
  • Strong negotiation and facilitation skills, with excellent business acumen
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven attention to detail
