Inside Sales Representative

At Lawson Products, we're committed to making our customers' jobs easier by improving their operational efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. As a leader in the MRO industry, we partner with customers to ensure they have the right maintenance and repair parts on hand when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Make outbound and receive inbound sales calls from new and existing customers to sell Lawson's products and services.
  • Qualify clients using value-based selling methods, researching customer/prospect history and business needs to develop a complete service proposal.
  • Build a pipeline of potential future business by prospecting via the Internet, assigned territory lists, and other sources.
  • Forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales metrics and meet assigned performance factors within assigned parameters.
  • Assist in providing satisfactory customer solutions to retain business, working with cross-functional team members.
  • Provide pipeline data to Inside Sales management to assist in developing policies and programs to drive sales.
Requirements:
  • Requires a minimum of an associate's degree and two years of experience in outbound sales or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Possesses a degree of creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to sell at all levels, with excellent relationship-building skills, including building relationships within the inside sales team and the Lawson organization.
  • Excellent customer service skills, high-level communication skills, and strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Proven sales closing skills and ability to self-start, work independently, and adhere to a scheduled plan.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and appropriate computer skills to meet administrative needs.
