Magnet Search Group Inc. is seeking a skilled Account Manager to oversee business development initiatives within a prominent CPG Food Organization. This role is crucial for driving sales and fostering relationships with various Regional Head Offices in the Wholesale and Small Retail Chain sectors. As a key member of the Canadian Retail Sales Team, you will significantly influence the success of the business unit by managing wholesale clients and small chain retailers throughout Eastern Canada, particularly in the Montreal area. Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive profitable sales growth across diverse wholesale clients and small retail chains.
  • Build and nurture business relationships, collaborating with clients to formulate account strategies and priorities.
  • Lead efforts in product distribution, merchandising, and overall volume growth at retail locations.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders, representing the organization at the head office level.
  • Act as the territory expert, staying informed about emerging customer trends, opportunities, challenges, and operational practices.
  • Analyze sales data and leverage territory knowledge to uncover sales opportunities.
  • Secure and maintain product distribution across all company categories.
  • Ensure that all authorized products are available in retail outlets.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary degree is mandatory.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in CPG sales within the Canadian retail grocery sector is essential.
  • Familiarity with syndicated data (Nielsen/Customer Data) is advantageous.
  • Experience working with wholesale clients is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
