As a vital member of the Canadian Retail Sales Team, you will significantly influence the success of the business unit by effectively managing wholesale clients and small chain retailers across Eastern Canada, particularly in the Montreal area. Bilingual proficiency is a prerequisite for consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive profitable sales growth among diverse wholesale clients and small retail chains.
- Forge and nurture business relationships, collaborating with clients to create strategic account plans and priorities.
- Oversee product distribution, merchandising, and overall volume growth at various retail locations.
- Maintain clear, concise, and timely communication with all stakeholders, representing the organization professionally at the head office level.
- Become the territory expert, staying informed about emerging customer trends, opportunities, challenges, and operational practices.
- Analyze sales data and leverage territory knowledge to pinpoint sales opportunities.
- Secure, strengthen, and sustain product distribution across all company categories.
- Ensure all authorized products are available in retail locations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a post-secondary education is required.
- At least 2+ years of experience in CPG sales within the Canadian retail grocery sector is essential.
- Familiarity with syndicated data (Nielsen/Customer Data) is advantageous.
- Experience working with wholesale clients is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, including negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is necessary.
