As a key member of the Canadian Retail Sales Team, you will significantly influence the success of the business unit by effectively managing wholesale clients and small chain retailers throughout Eastern Canada, particularly in the Montreal area. Bilingual candidates are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive profitable sales growth among diverse wholesale clients and small retail chains.
- Build and nurture business relationships, collaborating with clients to formulate account strategies and priorities.
- Oversee product distribution, merchandising, and overall sales volume at various retail locations.
- Maintain clear, concise, and timely communication with all stakeholders, representing the organization professionally at a head office level.
- Act as the territory expert, staying informed about emerging customer trends, opportunities, challenges, and operational practices.
- Analyze sales data and leverage territory knowledge to uncover sales opportunities.
- Establish, solidify, and maintain product distribution across all company categories.
- Ensure that all authorized products are available in retail locations.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary education is required.
- A minimum of 2+ years of CPG sales experience within the Canadian retail grocery sector is necessary.
- Experience with syndicated data (Nielsen/Customer Data) is advantageous.
- Experience working with wholesale clients is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, including negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
