Safety Solutions Sales Representative

As a key member of our sales team, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth and customer satisfaction for Wesco International, Inc.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain orders through proactive selling techniques, verifying and entering items, and transferring orders to fulfillment.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to existing customers, leveraging your knowledge of their buying history and preferences.
  • Develop and qualify new business opportunities, working closely with marketing, outside sales, and national accounts teams.
  • Identify process improvements and implement changes to enhance customer experience and sales efficiency.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations to secure orders, and analyze reasons for lost sales.
  • Monitor and resolve open customer order issues, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including distribution system backorder reports and customer notifications.
  • Provide market insights, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management, informing strategic business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven sales and sales administration experience, with a strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and define problems, and choose among existing solutions.
