About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Strategic Account Manager to join our team at Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. in the Public Sector market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving growth and shaping the future of our business in Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive revenue, adoption, and market penetration in the Public Sector market.
  • Work closely with the sales management team, partner teams, and solutions team to build and execute sales plans and strategic programs.
  • Collaborate with field-based partner sales leaders and management to support sales teams and partners in exceeding revenue and partner ecosystem targets.
  • Manage internal communications and overall performance reporting cadence.
  • Support the evolution, integration, and implementation of sales systems and processes to meet the rapid growth of the business and its revenue attainment and market development goals.
  • Develop and land segment-specific sales and marketing efforts with strategic partnerships (ISV & SI).

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience with the Public Sector.
  • 10+ years of experience in building go-to-market strategies with solid IT knowledge and understanding complex customer environments.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in technology-enabled consultative, solutions development, product management, product marketing, business development, and/or transformation roles.
  • Direct experience in the energy sector is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required or work equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidate who can develop a strategy and programs, with the experience and credibility at the field level to execute directly with partners, customers, and field sales.
  • The mindset and experience of operational excellence. Controlled data. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to simplify complexity and develop strategic proposals.
  • Ability to manage the portfolio of cross-functional programs and projects - planning, collaboration, and work management.
  • Proven track records in terms of ownership and results management. Ability to lead and work effectively with a variety of organizations, levels of management, cultures, and personalities.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams. Relevant technical knowledge is useful, such as systems, basic computer concepts, computing and virtualization fundamentals, storage systems, software-defined networking, network function virtualization, with the ability to deepen relevant technologies essential to the industry.
