About the Role

Mckesson Canada is a leading healthcare solutions company, and we are seeking an experienced Strategic Director of Pharmaceutical Partnerships to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive strategies across product categories and manufacturers to enhance our value proposition and competitive position.

This strategic position focuses on leveraging market intelligence and coordinating efforts across the manufacturer side of the business to drive growth and expansion. You will lead cross-Business Unit coordination and collaboration on manufacturer strategies and influence McKesson's position on Generics and OTC manufacturers with McKesson Global Procurement & Sourcing (MGPS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturer strategies for McKesson Canada across various therapeutic areas and product categories, with a primary focus on Brand pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline outlook to anticipate and capitalize on upcoming product launches and market shifts.
  • Support PSSP teams, primarily the Account Management team, in development of their account planning and strategy development through analysis to inform risks and opportunities.
  • Drive manufacturer-focused initiatives by coordinating cross-functional efforts and managing projects from inception to completion.
Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in strategy development, market intelligence, and leadership experience in the biopharma industry. Your expertise should include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree an asset).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in strategy development, market intelligence, or a related field within the biopharma industry.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of leadership experience in strategy development, market intelligence, biopharma or related field.
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving strategic initiatives and managing cross-functional collaboration in a matrix organization.
  • Strong knowledge of the biopharma (including manufacturer and distribution) space and deep understanding of pharma customer needs.
  • Expertise in market analysis and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
