Strategic Program Coordinator for Inuvialuit Knowledge and Research

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Program Coordinator to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, this role will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that advance Inuvialuit knowledge-based research activities in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.
About the RoleWe are looking for an individual with a strong background in program development, policy creation, and project management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations, as well as utilizing communications and publication software.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement programs related to Inuvialuit knowledge-based research activities;
- Work with internal and external partners to plan, secure funding, and conduct research studies on the marine environment;
- Coordinate survey instruments, assist in data analysis, and develop knowledge dissemination materials;
- Provide technical advice to senior management and establish effective relationships with staff, Knowledge holders, and community organizations;
- Manage projects and produce status reports.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent level of experience in a related field such as library science, social science, liberal arts, or data science;
- At least 2 years of experience designing, administering, and leading community outreach or engagement activities;
- Experience working in Indigenous communities and organizations;
- Experience utilizing communications and publication software (e.g., Publisher, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
