Job Summary

The Building Maintainer is responsible for performing general repairs and maintenance on various IDC properties located in Inuvik, NT. These include residential, commercial, and office buildings. The primary objective of the role is to ensure that all properties are kept in good condition, adhering to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues
- Perform preventative and emergency repairs as required
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently

Requirements

- Minimum of Grade 10 education
- Class 5 Driver's License is required

Preferred Qualifications

- Completion or current enrolment in a trade apprenticeship program is an asset
- At least two years of experience in labour or maintenance roles, preferably involving work on both commercial and residential properties
- Experience with electrical, carpentry, and plumbing tasks is highly valued
