WSP Canada is seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Project Coordinator to join our national Remediation Program Management (RPM) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse and growing team supporting our key clients in coordinating the risk and closure of contaminated sites in Ontario.
Key Responsibilities- Support project managers in the design and oversight of field work related to monitoring, investigating, and remediating contaminated sites impacted by hydrocarbons.
- Prepare health and safety plans and emergency response plans.
- Schedule field staff and subcontractors.
- Compile data for reports.
- Write reports including preparing conclusions and recommendations.
- Conduct occasional field work including soil, groundwater, surface water and vapour investigations, monitoring programs and overseeing site remediation.
- Train junior staff in environmental practices.
- University degree or above in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in contaminated site assessment, soil and groundwater sampling.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in an engineering consulting environment.
- Analytical mind with ability to make recommendations on next steps for client sites.
- Willingness to grow career within the RPM team.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
