Environmental Remediation Project Coordinator Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Project Coordinator to join our national Remediation Program Management (RPM) team at WSP Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the risk and closure of contaminated sites in Ontario.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in contaminated site assessment, soil and groundwater sampling. You will be responsible for working closely with project managers to prepare health and safety plans, emergency response plans, proposals, and cost estimates. Additionally, you will schedule field staff and subcontractors, compile data for reports, and conduct occasional field work, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapour investigations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train junior staff in environmental practices
  • Collaborate across the national RPM team and WSP Canada

Requirements
  • University degree or above in environmental science, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in contaminated site assessment, soil and groundwater sampling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation is preferred
