Environmental Remediation Project Coordinator

WSP Canada is seeking an Experienced Project Coordinator to join our national Remediation Program Management (RPM) team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a diverse and growing team supporting key clients in coordinating the risk and closure of contaminated sites in Ontario.

As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting our project managers and key clients in the design and oversight of field work related to monitoring, investigating, and remediating contaminated sites impacted by hydrocarbons. You will also be responsible for compiling data for reports, writing reports, and conducting occasional field work including soil, groundwater, surface water and vapour investigations, monitoring programs and overseeing site remediation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support project managers in the design and oversight of field work
  • Compile data for reports and write reports
  • Conduct occasional field work including soil, groundwater, surface water and vapour investigations, monitoring programs and overseeing site remediation
  • Train junior staff in environmental practices
  • Formulate a personal career development plan with specific goals

Requirements:

  • A university degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in contaminated site assessment, soil and groundwater sampling
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in an engineering consulting environment
  • An analytical mind and ability to make recommendations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
