At Montrose Environmental Group, we're seeking an exceptional Senior Groundwater Modeling Specialist to join our team of talented professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your expertise in numerical modeling and hydrogeology to make a meaningful impact on complex groundwater projects. As a senior member of our Eastern Hydrogeology team, you will be based in our Guelph, Ontario office and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can lead and support the development and application of advanced numerical models to support decision-making. If you have a strong background in geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, and numerical methods, and experience with software such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, or MIKESHE, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role:

  • Leverage your expertise in numerical modeling and hydrogeology to lead and support the development and application of advanced models to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Lead and support the development and execution of conceptual model-driven work plans that balance the application of innovative modeling tools or approaches with the scale and scope of the problem.
  • Develop models for a wide range of hydrogeology projects, including regional and local hydrogeological assessments, municipal source water projection, risk assessment, and groundwater remediation.

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • 7-10 years' experience in a similar role within a consulting environment, with a strong background in geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, and numerical methods.
  • Eligibility for professional registration with provincial self-regulating organizations APEGA, EGBC, PEO, PGO.
  • Demonstrated experience in the application and adaptation of numerical model tools and approaches, including uncertainty analysis to support risk assessment, remedial action plans, subwatershed studies, environmental assessments, and wellhead protection studies.
