Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Banking Professional to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and advisory support to our clients, identifying business opportunities, and developing strategic plans to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and advisory support to clients on commercial lending and credit analysis
  • Identify business opportunities and develop strategic plans to drive growth and profitability
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, centers of influence, and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions and drive results
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform business decisions
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses
  • Provide input into the development of business plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Conduct credit analysis and make recommendations on loan approvals and credit limits
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of commercial lending products, services, and policies
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in commercial lending and credit analysis
Requirements
  • Typically between 4-6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, services, and policies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
